Netropy v1.1 Released
Adds New Classification and Management Features

LOS ANGELES (August 26, 2010)Apposite® Technologies is pleased to announce the release of Netropy v1.1, adding important new classification and management features to its award-winning line of network emulation appliances.

Netropy firmware v1.1 adds the following new features and enhancements:

  • IPv6 Packet Classification -- Packets can now be assigned to different WAN links, each with their own bandwidth, delay, loss, and other properties, by IPv6 source and destination address ranges in addition to the existing IPv4 address, VLAN ID, and MPLS label classification methods.
  • Self-Monitoring Indicators: The Netropy Emulation Engine now displays self monitoring indicators of available processing and buffering resources to guarantee testing validity.
  • SSL and SSH support -- SSL and HTTPS can now be used for secure access to the Netropy GUI. SSH can now be used to access the CLI.
  • Enhanced jitter modeling -- New models for normal and uniform delay distributions improve the emulation of network jitter.
Pricing & Availability

The Netropy N60, N80, and 10G network emulation appliances will begin shipping immediately with v1.1 firmware. The v1.1 firmware is also available for free download to current Netropy customers to update existing units.
