Apposite Releases New N61 and 5510 Model WAN Emulators
Refreshes N60 and 5500 Models with Full Line Rate Capability
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 22, 2014) – Apposite Technologies, the leader in enterprise-class network simulation products, today announced two new WAN emulation models, the Netropy N61 and Linktropy 5510, offering full line rate capability for all packet sizes in affordable, 1 Gbps systems.
Apposite’s Netropy and Linktropy WAN emulators simulate bandwidth, latency, packet loss, and other critical network impairments to test the performance of applications in the lab. By combining unparalleled ease-of-use with unmatched pricing, Apposite makes it possible for network managers, IT administrators, and application developers to learn within minutes how applications will perform over a variety of real-world networks.
The new Netropy N61 and Linktropy 5510 models both offer two Gigabit Ethernet ports for emulation, either copper RJ45 or fiber SFP. The Linktropy 5510 emulates a single wide-area network link up to 1 Gbps while the Netropy N61 simulates up to 15 separate WAN links to an aggregate capacity of 1 Gbps.
The new models update Apposite's popular 2-port gigabit-speed models, the Netropy N60 and Linktropy 5500, adding full line rate capability, additional processing resources, and increased buffering capacity. Prices for the new models remain unchanged from the models they replace.
