TFTP vs. FTP: Comparison Testing with a Linktropy Mini2, Wireshark and a Cisco Router

See the Linktropy Mini in action, in this video from Network Computing magazine, testing the difference between FTP and TFTP. Using the Mini2, the comparison was completed in a matter of minutes and showed that with 1% packet loss on the network, TFTP took more than 10x longer than FTP to complete the transfer.
